We are looking for a Senior Architectural & Experiential Designer to join our NY location and help bring these experiences to life across the U.S.

Job Description:

The Freelance Senior Architectural & Experiential Designer is responsible for leading multiple event and production design projects through all stages of the design process including conceptual design phases, design development, project reviews, project communications, quality and design control, scheduling, and project reporting & budgeting. This individual will work closely within the K2 America design and production teams reporting to the Head of Design. This individual must be creative and technical with good time management skills and experience working in architecture and production design.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop design concepts and help translate existing luxury brand concepts into new locations. Work closely with the Head of Design and production team to develop and realize design concepts.

• Create elevated spatial design experiences for luxury clientele of all kinds.

• Create renderings and visuals that clearly and accurately communicate designs to clients.

• Build out client facing decks for design round presentations

• Assist the production team and Head of Design in communicating with clients, freelancers, vendors and fabricators.

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and material sourcing.

• Technical design and drafting skills with general knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques and materials

• Ability to produce a set of construction drawings for fabrication.

• Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in interior design, production design or architecture and Bachelor/ Master degree from an accredited school.

• The ideal candidate is passionate about design, culture & art and has a well rounded design lens.

• Detail oriented, organized, and a team player.

• Takes initiative and has the ability to work under tight timelines.

• Exceptional communication skills including both verbal and visual means of communication. Proficiency in 3D modeling and realistic rendering ability using software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, Enscape or similar as well as the Adobe Creative Suite.
